Our Mission

For Da Local Girls, that’s what we’re all about. We started Da Palaka Girl because we wanted clothing that’s made with care and connection to Hawaiʻi. Every piece is made right here on Oʻahu with locally owned clothing manufacturers. Keeping it local means we get to work with talented people from our own community and make sure everyone is treated fairly. We visit the factory ourselves, meet the makers, and make sure each piece is crafted with love.

We design with local girls in mind, celebrating Hawaiʻi’s spirit and lifestyle in every stitch. We make small batches because quality matters. Overproduced, poorly made clothes often end up in landfills, which deeply hurts our environment. Instead, we make pieces to last. Our hope is that they become heirlooms, loved, worn, and maybe even passed down for generations.

“Made in Hawaiʻi” is more than a label, it’s a promise that every piece honors our home, our culture, and the hands that bring it to life!
